Intimate Wedding Photography at The Ashes in Staffordshire

Sarah & Ryan’s ‘Science-y’ Ashes wedding

Wedding Photography at The Ashes.  Sarah and Ryan met almost 5 years ago when they both started their PhD’s and started working at opposite ends of the same lab.  I don’t think any love potions were involved but you never know!  Ryan organised a surprise trip to Iceland, where he proposed to Sarah under the Northern Lights.  (Sigh)…How utterly romantic <3

An intimate set up

If the wedding is a nice small intimate wedding, then the team at The Ashes can set up the ceremony Barn for you with the chairs in a half moon arrangement.  This really give a feeling of intimacy for you and your guests.  Seeing so much love in the eyes of a bride and groom as they say their vows is one of the things that I will never, ever tire of witnessing.  I am always mindful of the fact that I get a front seat to all of these beautiful moments in these peoples lives and for that I am truly thankful.

A truly romantic place

The Ashes really is a truly romantic place for Wedding Photography.  Whether it’s Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, it is always a beautiful place for a stroll around with a couple who are in love.  As it happens, Sarah & Ryan were so easy to photograph, they made my job very easy.  It’s lovely to just take ten minutes out, away form all the guests for a bit of ‘you time’.  This is the perfect opportunity for me to photograph the natural love between my couples.  Nothing forced or staged, just true love happening.

Party Time!

So following the lovely food, lovingly prepared and served by Jenkinsons, all of the guests were treated to some dane lessons from the fabulous ceilidh band, The mouse’s nest.  By the third song, all the guests were rocking that dance floor!

Thank you so much to Sarah & Ryan for having me along for the ride, it was an amazing day xx
