FABULOUS MILL BARNS WEDDING – NATALIE AND JONATHAN
NATALIE & JONATHAN’S GORGEOUS MILL BARNS WEDDING
When Natalie and Jonathan first got in touch with me about their Mill Barns wedding in Alveley, I was so thrilled – they were planning such a fun and stylish wedding with a church ceremony. Natalie and Jonathan are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Bride and groom prep
I rocked up at Natalie’s home, where the girls were getting ready, and it was so much fun, because everyone was in a good mood. My second photographer, Anthony went to the boys to capture them before they went to the Church.
The wedding took place at St Benedict Biscop Church, and was a traditional religious ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which was so beautiful. After the ceremony the couple danced back down the aisle together, and then we did a confetti tunnel outside the church door.
After the ceremony
The wedding reception took place at The Mill Barns, which is in Alveley. It was beautiful.
It was a bright and sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits.
During the reception they mingled and chatted with their guests, which gave the afternoon a really chilled vibe. For the wedding breakfast they had proper wedding grub, and it was loved by all the guests. After the meal they had some wonderful speeches, then the couple cut the wedding cake and they went straight into the first dance.
How they met
Natalie and Jonathan met at work 5 years ago. In their own words this is how Jonathan proposed…
“First proper day date without our 11 month old son (Danny our first child) We went for food at the restaurant where his mom and dad met After we drove past our regular local coffee shop ( it looked like it was open on a Sunday eve??) Jonny said let’s see if he’ll let us in? So we did, and the owner did let us in, said he had a function but as were regular we could pop in. The whole room was decorated, romantic music etc, owner said he was going to be hosting a anniversary event. Music played was selected by groom, we sat talked and enjoyed a dissarano and a coffee About 25 mins in a letter was handed to me by the owner (that’s the moment I caught on) As I finished reading letter – perfect timing – our special song comes on – I realise there was no anniversary party and it had all been set up for me and he was down on one knee. Then we had champagne.”
