FAQ's

Here are some frequently asked questions, or FAQ's and their answers.  If you have any more questions that are not answered here then please do get in touch and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

What is your style of PHOTOGRAPHY?

I’m a creative photographer and I like to record weddings in a way that is authentic and true.  I achieve this by capturing all of those special moments that happen in the blink of an eye.  I am there to capture the true emotion of the day.  The only time that I intervene is for the Bride and Groom shots.  This will help you to just enjoy the magic of your day with your family and friends.

Do you do group photos?

Not really!  Please, please, please take note of this answer!!!! After shooting hundreds of weddings I have come to the conclusion that my style of shooting is not well suited for shouting people’s names for them to come and stand in a line for a photograph.  You may think that it's only a few minutes to get a few people together for a quick photo but experience has taught me that's not the case.  It can take up to 20 minutes to find one person who has gone awol for a photo.  Every single minute of your wedding day is so precious.  I don't want either myself or you to have to stand around waiting, and more importantly missing, fabulous moments happening all around.  You are hiring me because of my ability to create awesome images of your family and friends and everything that you have brought to your day.  My approach isn’t for everyone – those who want a long list of groups shots, but, it is for those who want to enjoy their day, spend time with those most important to them and who want beautiful, imaginative imagery and amazing memories from their day.  After saying all of that, I will obviously do the small immediate family groups, grandparents, parents etc)

What does your coverage include?

Me as your photographer for the day, from 2 hours before the ceremony time up until the first dance at 8pm. Also a second photographer will accompany me to ensure that we don't miss anything.  If the dancefloor is pumping I have been known strut my stuff on there with your guests!

Do we need to feed you?

Working hard for you takes up a lot of energy and a hot meal is very much essential and very much appreciated.  Usually you will discuss this with your caterer.

When will we get to see our images?

I aim to give you a couple of sneak peeks within a few days of your wedding but the real work happens over the next 4-6 weeks, where I artistically master your images to the highest degree possible.

How many images will we receive?

My goal is to tell your story, the way you want to remember it, beautifully, fully and completely.  With this in mind, you will receive approximately 500+ images depending on the nature of your day.  You will be able to download your images directly from the website, giving you instant access to them as soon as they are ready.

Can you hold a date for us?

I often get enquiries for the same date so whoever pays the booking fee first gets the date. CONTACT me today to book your date.

What happens if you’re ill on the day?

Only a very serious illness would keep me from being there, but if it were to happen, I would do my very best to sort out a replacement photographer for you.  I have a large network of photographers that I know who I could call on should the need arise.

So what happens now?

If you think you want to book me for your wedding but you want to meet me first, then just get in touch and we can arrange a meeting.  I usually meet with couples at my studio in Eccleshall, Staffordshire, we can have a cuppa and long chat about all your plans for your day and what you would want from me.  Or, if it is easier we can have a chat over the phone or on FaceTime.  Just let me know what works best for you
