Katie & Kallum’s Ashes wedding venue wedding.

I met with Katie and her girls at The Ashes wedding venue in the morning whilst they were getting ready. The Ashes have e lovely area especially for you and your girls to get ready for the celebrations. Katie had five bridesmaids altogether, all of whom were friends. They did have Katies back with lots of Prosecco and calming words 😁. They also did a brilliant TikTok bride getting ready ‘thing’ which was blinkin fab!! I don’t have a TikTok account but they did show me the finished version and it was brilliant.

Hair and makeup was done the very talented Faye Kenyon, who I hadn’t met before but I can wholeheartedly recommend. Her work is amazing and she’s really lovely too.

Meanwhile, my second for the day, Sean, went to Kallum and the boys, at Dove Farm Barns in Caverswall, before following them on to The Ashes wedding venue.

I am so lucky to work a lot at Ashes wedding venue, and I’m also lucky enough to photograph the work of The Topiary Tree. They created the most amazing bouquet for Katie, and dressed the venue as they always do, in their amazing and brilliant style.

I get asked a lot about what I would recommend at a wedding and I always say a Photo Booth. They are so much fun and guests love them. Katie & Kallum chose Oh! Photobooth. Check out the bridesmaid’s baby with a wig 😂. Always good for a laugh.

For Katie & Kallum’s day at The Ashes wedding venue, Sound Solutions finished the day off perfectly.

I always love to know how my couples met and here a few words from the lovely couple:

Ashes wedding venue

How long have you been together?

We met on a Freshers Week night out at Keele University in 2012, and we very quickly became best friends. We were pretty much inseparable for 3 years! At the end of the three years we realised we were more than “just friends” and took the risk of giving it a go – and it more than paid off! We have been together 6 years now, and they have been the happiest. We are so lucky that we have the foundations of a wonderful friendship, that we built our relationship off of.

Who proposed and how did you do it?

Kallum got down on one knee in Barcelona in May 2019. He was wearing this jacket all day in the sweltering heat and refused to take it off, which was so odd! Now i know it’s because my ring was in the pocket! It was a beautiful proposal, just the two of us in a park, where we had a picnic and prosecco afterwards.
