It may have been raining but that didn’t put a dampner on the day…. Claire and Alex celebrated their wonderful day at The Ashes in Endon, which is one of my favourite wedding venues in the Staffordshire area. Their friends and family came from all over to watch them say those all important words. The wedding breakfast was a lot of fun, as the appointed guests carved up the meat for guests on their table. The evening was rounded off by a great big party on the dance floor :)

Georgina & John | Wedding

Another stunning Bride and Groom, Georgina and John. They had the best day, surrounded by their family and closest friends. They tied the knot at St Mary’s church and then went onto celebrate the rest of their wonderful day at The Ashes. You were so much fun to photograph, thank you for letting us share your day with you, we had a great time. Have a wonderful Honeymoon and we’ll see you when you get back.

Charlotte & Simon | Wedding

Charlotte and Simon’s day was so special. Some of Simon’s family flew in from Poland accompanied by some very strong looking Vodka……. I didn’t have any of course, due to the fact that I wanted my images to stay in focus! They had prepared a special dance for their first dance, which everyone enjoyed. Have a lovely honeymoon guys and I’ll see you when you get back.

Helen & Chris | Wedding

Helen & Chris’s day was all about fun, love and laughter, oh and of course no wedding would be complete without the the odd tears hear and there, which we also had. Every single guest was just lovley and shared the same sense of fun that Helen and Chris so obviously share, but I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to Beryl, the brides mum, for just being so lovely and kind and for making my job so enjoyable. The shot of the day for me came later in the evening when Helen changed into her ‘Evening shoes’. We went out onto the lawn at the front of the West barn for a few shots of her incredible flower printed Doc Martins! How fantastic were they! I love it! Once again The Ashes didn’t let us down with their incredible service and gorgeous surroundings. My gratitude to all at The Ashes Venue, I can’t wait for my next wedding with you :)

Sarah & Craig | Wedding

Sarah & Craig were just made for each other. They are so much in love and it certainly shows. Craig wasn’t emotional at all, of course it was the hay fever, we all believe you! When Sarah walked down the aisle the hay fever struck…… then when Craig made his speech, there it was again. It was lovely to witness and everyone loves you for it :) The rain came and went and the afternoon was glorious. What a very special day it was.

Charlotte & Simon | Pre Wedding Shoot

I think ‘gusty’ is the way to describe the weather for our shoot at Wychwood Park. But that didn’t matter at all. We still had a great time and a great laugh too! I hope you like them and I can’t wait for your wedding, not long now :)

Cheryl & Simon | Wedding

Could a bride look more stunning?? I don’t think so….. Cheryl also wins the prize for the ‘Stott Weddings Shoes of the Year’ award :) Oh my goodness, only a pair of, gorgeous, to die for, christian louboutin peep toe shoes in pale pink. Jealous, me, never. Well, maybe just a bit.

Cheryl and Simon have the most amazing family who helped to make their day an unforgettable one as they celebrated their special day at The Ashes Venue in Endon. Again our summer didn’t let us down as we enjoyed beautiful weather throughout the day. I think also that the prize for best cake cutting has to go to Cheryl and Simon as well. Have a look and you’ll see what I mean. Amongst all the fun there was also a great deal of love, a day that will be remembered for a long time to come.

Laura & Hassan | Pre Wedding shoot

It was a warm and sunny, if a little bit windy, morning at Nailcote Hall where I met with Laura & Hassan for their pre wedding shoot. They absolutely rocked their shoot too, as Laura will testify to in her blog purpleandpearls. Fab blog Laura and it’s great to see myself on there! What an honour, thank you! Nailcote Hall is a great venue with beautiful surroundings, I think I may pop down for a game of golf myself sometime :)

I can’t wait for your wedding day, it’s going to be an unforgettable day and one huge party! I think that the sparklers will work a treat! See you both soon x

Gill & Richard | Wedding

What can I say about Gill & Richard’s fabulous wedding day. Apart from the fact that it took place at The Ashes Venue, which guarantees a fabulous day, they had the best wedding cars taking the bride and bridesmaids to the venue. They were VW campervans and of course they had names too! The split screen was Caspa and the other was Otis Wedding :) The company, beetledriveuk.co.uk, also have a convertable beetle called Demis Roof-Off lol.

Gill and Richard did have a beautiful day and I am so glad that I was able to be there to photograph it. I love photographing the bride and bridesmaids getting ready in the morning and it was lovley to see the reaction of Gill’s dad when she came down the stairs. A lovely moment. The rest of the day was so much fun and i’m already looking forward to my next wedding at The Ashes!
