The year is passing by so fast already. It’s almost May and the wedding season is now in full swing. Looking ahead to this years weddings, I started to think about all the lovely couples that we worked with last year. And I had an idea! I gave myself the impossible task of choosing some of my favourite images from 2010′s weddings……and it was so much harder that I thought it would be! How can you choose from thousands of beautiful images?? Anyway, I have managed (with a lot of difficulty) to come up with some of my favourite. And here they are…….

The 2nd Ashes ‘Tasting Day’

I was fortunate enough to be invited back to the second ‘Tasting Day’ at The Ashes wedding venue in Endon, Staffordshire, and it was such a brilliant day again, as if it could be anything other than a great day. It was lovely to catch up with lots of my gorgeous Brides and Grooms for later this year, i’m so excited and now I cannot wait for those! (It was especially nice to see Vikki again and also to meet Sabrina).

Jenkinsons the caterers and all their staff worked so hard to make it a success and it looked like everyone enjoyed the delicious food.

The Topiary Tree created so many fabulous table centres and decorated the venue with lots of gorgeous flowers and ceramics. I loved the milk churns in the West Barn!

James from Capper Digital caught it all on DVD and it was a lot of fun working with everyone.

I would like to thank Ben and Sarah and everyone at The Ashes for letting me be a part of the day again and I’m looking forward to coming back again soon.

The Ashes Tasting Day

A resounding success is how I would describe the first ‘Tastng Day’ at The Ashes Venue on Sunday. Brides and grooms, their family and friends were invited to come along and sample the menus offered by Jenkinsons caterers. And, I have to say that the food is out of this world ! Rose and the girls from The Topiary Tree provided all the table arrangements and various decorations. Their talents will make this wonderful venue look just how you want it to. The Capture Factory did a superb job with the table planner, their work is amazing.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on, on your big day. All the staff work so hard to help the smooth running of your day. Great job guys, well done everyone.

Pre Wedding Shoots

New for 2010, Stott Weddings are offering pre wedding shoots, also referred to as engagement shoots. They are a great way to get to know how we will work with you on your big day and it’s also great fun. You will receive a disc with the photos on from the shoot, for you to print as you wish, and you can also choose to have a framed image, which your guests can sign. A nice alternative to a guest book or as an addition to your guest book. These shoots can take place anywhere but it’s a nice idea to do them at your venue. That way you get a chance to see all the best places to go for your photos on your big day. Prices start from £250. Please contact us for further information.

Lianne & Malcolm

Earlier this year I had the huge pleasure of photographing Lianne & Malcolm’s wedding at Studley Castle. It was a superb day in a superb venue. Today I received this lovley thank you card from them and so I thought that I would share it. Thank you for your very kind words and I also want to thank you both for being so great and making my job so enjoyable. I’m thrilled that you like your album and I wish you both all the happiness in the world for your future together. There are so many great images from your day, but I think that this one is my favourite.
